The love for writing has certainly helped me in the world of photography.
Being able to tell a story through images is something that satisfies me a lot.
Maurizia, who unfortunately died a few years ago, she was a dog hairdresser living and working in my small village in the south of Switzerland. It was 2010 when I discovered her profession, I immediately asked her if I could see her in action during a grooming. I was thinking that it could be so much fun to capture those moments and a challenge a the same time. One, because dogs are always moving and two because be able to show a small part of a person's life at work without being too ordinary it’s very difficult.
Then I don't know, I find myself having the stroke of luck, where everything fits perfectly, the funny dog, Maurizia totally at ease, the light that came to the right point and the hair flew everywhere. When I think about that moment, I smile.
