Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing a post-wedding photoshoot for a lovely couple from Belgium who chose Mauritius as their destination for an idyllic beach photoshoot in the north of the island. I met this beautiful couple the first time at Preskil island resort.
Johann wanted to surprise his wife with a photo shoot; I thought “what a beautiful way to show her its love” and so we did!

I was so glad to see their love that we planned another couple photo shoot but this time in another and more dreamy location of Mauritius, in the west coast, near Flic en Flac.

We had so much fun working together here and we got some amazing shot during the sunset in this beautiful giant cactus alley. They were so fresh and natural and I helped them on how to pose and don’t care about me and the camera. I gave them some prompts and in the gallery below you can see the results!

Photo shoot during your honeymoon in Mauritius? I'm your girl!

The beach of Bain Boeuf certainly offers one of the most beautiful views of Gunner's Quoin island.

Stephanie and Yannick wanted to do a shoot during sunset, in their wedding clothes, in a magical place but at the same time not too far from their hotel located in the North of Mauritius.

In the north of Mauritius it is difficult to see a sunset, the sun rises in the east of the island to set in the west...but that' s why if you don't know where to do your shooting in Mauritius, it is probably better to ask your photographer!

Together we found the best solution for the most romantic and magical photo shoot ever!

After the photo session they complimented me on how I made them feel comfortable, telling me that during their wedding they couldn't have as much fun as we did together!

One of the best family photo shoots I did this year in Mauritius so far.

The Victoria Beachcomber Resort is a great place to have a photography session for couples or families, but not only, many influencers stay here and there are sonmany spots to get wonderful pictures.

This lovely South African couple reached me through my Instagram account some weeks before their holiday in Mauritius, They wanted to have a family session at their hotel but they were a bit nervous because they did not know if their baby was going to cooperate during the photo shoot.

We decided that the family photo session would take place during sunset in order to have warm tones in the final result.

Their outfits were perfect, him in white and her in a beautiful blue dress. The result?
A stunning one! Keeping the baby occupied by playing with him gave us wonderful moments in the pictures!

Location: THE BEAUTIFUL SUNSET OF FLIC EN FLAC

Sometimes family beach photo shoots in Mauritius turn into something magical!

Flic en Flac beach is one of the best known and most visited beaches in Mauritius, by locals and tourists in Mauritius.It offers one of the most beautiful sunsets in Mauritius and if you shoot during the week (when it is less populated) you can get shots both on the beach and in the filaos grove.

Stephanie contacted me several months before their arrival on this little paradise island to book her annual family photo shoot. She confided in me that I had never done such a shoot so I immediately felt very honoured!

Of course we decided to take the photographs during sunset (always choose sunset for your photo shoots, the light is perfect!) and when we arrived at the location we realised that the beach was crowded, but really crowded!

The first thing I thought was: shit! It wasn't because I was afraid of having the whole crowd behind them on every photo, but rather that they didn't think they could get great photos, and also look alone on the beach! Check out the results!

COUPLE PHOTO SHOOT IN THE EAST COAST OF MAURITIUS

Celia and Anthony were staying at Ambre resort in the east coast of Mauritius and wanted to take some pictures of them during their holiday.

This hotel have a little beach with a beautiful hammock right in the sea.
Since in the est coast of Mauritius there is no sunset but only the sunrise, they chose to take some pictures during the day.

We had some fun walking on the beach and we also took some beautiful pictures in the hammock, they weren’t afraid to get wet for these shots and the results are so sweet and beautiful!

Lena and Jakob, two young Germans with Russian origins, on their honeymoon in Mauritius contacted me to take some pictures during a full speedboat trip.

I am so glad to have had the opportunity to take these photos on the itinerary of Angel Cruises for the first time with a bride with her dress.

Something special that you will never forget.

A photographer, a private speedboat and one of the most beautiful itinerary in Mauritius: Blue Bay - Ile aux Cerfs. The guided tour includes a visit to the shipwreck on the coral reef of Pointe d'Esny, a walk on Lighthouse island, snorkeling in a secret spot, the discovery of the hidden waterfall reachable only by boat, a delicious BBQ on the beach and some drinks in front of Aigrettes island to end the day. All this accompanied by me, ready to shoot this memorable memory.

It is really, the most beautiful trip to make, where I fell in love with my husband and where I feel home during all the trip.

Sitan contacted me many months before on arrival in Mauritius via Instagram to immortalize her wedding.

In our profession we are used to meet every day strangers and capture those moments of magic of a person's life. But when I saw my bride, I was speechless to see how beautiful she was.

We arrived early with my team to take pictures and create a video at the hotel where they were staying in the North of Mauritius: Cannonier Beachcomber. We followed Jean's preparation in his room and immediately understood the intensity and love of this couple. We met up with Sitan who was doing her makeup and then we went to the room to take some pictures before moving to the beach where the ceremony will be held.

It was intimate and I was moved to feel how strong their love was. These are the experiences that make me love my work more and more every day!

Romina and Bledi were my first wedding shooting of 2020 and I am so happy of that.
The year couldn't have started better!

This young Albanian couple wanted the photographs of their getting ready in their room and also pictures of the official ceremony on the beach and they contacted me about a week before their day. On holiday with family and friends, they decided to renew their wedding vows in Mauritius, about 15 people of extreme kindness and explosive sympathy, among parents, brothers, sisters, children and friends we had so much fun that I didn't even felt the scorching heat of this January.

I started from the groom who was in the company of his mother and his son, the room was very spacious but the natural light was not very much (I don’t like flashes but with Lightroom I do magic!), after about 30 minutes Romina joined us with her squad of girls and at the end all the others guests joined us. After the preparation, we went out to take some couple shots because it was going to rain and the ceremony would be held on the beach, so we took advantage of the sun. Luckily the rain spared us and the ceremony was of an indescribable simplicity, full of love and very kind people.

For this wedding, I practically shot everything with my 35mm.
One of my absolute favourite lenses!

DANAE

Danae is a Dubai based blogger / influencer with a wonderful smile.

This woman is a force of nature, a solo traveller that inspires thousands of women to accept herself, love herself and not be afraid to choose to be happy for themselves before anything else.

She contacted me weeks before arriving in Mauritius to create content for her Instagram page (@danaemercer) and her blog. We created together for a few hours in the North of the island in the incredible luxury hotel Westin Turtle Bay Resort, where she was staying.

We decided to use the last hours of the day to have the perfect light to create dreamlike shots and we had so much fun playing together.

A normal girl, simple and intense.
She moved in Mauritius a few years ago with her boyfriend.

She told me how good it was for her self-esteem to do this photo shooting.
Seeing herself through the eyes of a photographer, a person who knows to enhance traits, expressions and can capture the real essence of a person.

We have spent 3 hours together playing in the sugar cane fields, on the jetty of Ile aux deux Cocos and at the beach of Pointe d’Esny. We laughed and played a lot with the camera and it was just amazing working together. That evening we opened a bottle of white wine and chose together our favorite pictures.

Make photo shootings is so good for mental health of the person and helps to be more confident with ourselves. Look at you into the mirror and if you feel down and you are not able to see how beautiful you are, book a photo shooting with a professional photographer and proof to yourself that you were wrong.

ODETTE

Odette was in Mauritius passing through for only two days and a few days before her arrival she contacted me. Luckily she stayed in a luxurious hotel 10 minutes from my home, the Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa in Blue Bay, in the south east coast.

When I met her, I was surprised by her beauty. Odette has a very particular visage and she’s incredibly photogenic. Based in Dubai, yoga and fitness influencer, her body is perfectly sculpted and everything she wears becomes incredibly beautiful.

We had planned to do an hour of photo session but we had so much fun together that we lost track of time. When we said goodbye to each other the only thing I had in mind was to go home as soon as possible to edit on her pictures. It is so satisfying to work with people like her that let me discover how much I love my work.

Axelle, born in France and tired of living the hectic life in Europe, she has moved to do an internship in the world of essential oils in Mauritius, after 5 years she has not be able to leave the paradise island. She dreams of traveling the world and one day open a place near the ocean.

We've known each other since a while now, but when a there is camera between two friends the play changes.

After taking some pictures to warm up and get familiar with the camera we took some beautiful photos at sunset using only two things: the ground and a car.
I am very happy of this photo shooting, it’s intense and poetic at the same time.

Benoit Girodau was born on 30 September 1988 and he’s a very popular singer from Mauritius. Rasta from adolescence started to make music very young.

His music is inspired by everyday life and his personal life experiences, he created success like Welkom dan Moris, Bat dan la tet and he will present very soon his new album in Mauritius.

As you can see, Ben is not just a talented singer he’s also a great model.
We had this photo session not so far from my home, in the sugar cane fields of Blue Bay, passing by the Baobab, the eucalyptus plantation and waited for the sunset on the irrigation system to end the shooting in the dark.

…and yes, I’m very proud of those shots!

One of the most beautiful people I've ever met. A sweet and funny warrior.

French blogger (@blackhairvelvet) has helped many women with frizzy hair to accept the nature of their hair and to take care of. She has always the best advice for natural products or homemade beauty tips.

She is one of my best friends that I knew through Instagram, she support me in everything in Mauritius, she's always keen to live new adventure, discover new places, take my pictures and she’s also my favorite model.

She often complains about not being able to pose, but the reality is that her naturalness is so disarming that every shot becomes unique and perfect.

One of the important things for a photographer is to be able to make feel comfortable and confident the person in front of the camera. What I love the most? Take care of my models, let them feel beautiful and unique.

GERALDINE

Geraldine is the owner of the only vegan restaurant in Mauritius: Eat with Fingers.
They followed their passion and after a while living in Austria they decided to come in Mauritius and open the restaurant in the north of the island. It’s the only vegan restaurant in Mauritius and they do also food styling and recipe creation.

They are very active on socials and they are very talented. Just have a look at their page if you don’t trust me! She’s a very sweet person and at the same time a very strong woman and I appreciate her so much.

Geraldine was looking for a photo shooting related to the cooking world and local products to share on her social platforms so we decided to go to Port Louis to take some pictures at the market and in the city. We had so much fun with all the different clothes to change and walking around to find the best spot to shoot.

I’m very satisfied of the results, Geraldine is always so natural and a beautiful model that I hope to shoot again soon!

@krysteldiaries is a natural beauty native of Lebanon based in Dubai, known to be a very popular fashion blogger. I had the pleasure to shoot with this incredible sweet woman during her vacations with her cute family in Mauritius. Like so many other influencers she was looking for a photographer to create some content for her Instagram page.

Everything started from a direct message on my page @indie.marea where Krystel was asking me take some shots at her resort based in the south: The St. Regis Mauritius Resort. At the end we decided to do an Instagram Tour of Chamarel’s Waterfalls and the Seven colored earths park.

During the morning we had a lot of lucky because the sun was high in the sky and the light was dreamy, the colors of the earths was powerful and we were so happy of the results of the shooting there. When we went back to the resort to take the last shots it started to rain intermittently but we didn't stop and we kept taking pictures.

I am very happy with the results of this shooting and I’m really glad to have found another friend in Dubai!

SLOW WEED

The 26-years-old Pablo De Gottardi who, with his father and cousin, created SLOW WEED. Their company was founded in 2017 and produces, processes and sells hemp products.

CBD is a cannabinoid contained in hemp flowers, more precisely in resin and it has no psychotropic effects opposed to THC, that is the reason why is a substance completely in Switzerland.

The largest CBD fields in Switzerland are in greenhouses and the only field I found that grows with direct sunlight is Slow Weed.

Their plants grow in an environmentally friendly way, without pesticides and their packaging is made of algae, completely biodegradable and edible. I produce flowers and oils with different concentrations.

I was pleasantly surprised and happy to see how young people are investing more and more to create their own business while respecting the environment.
