LUIGI BOCCADAMO
A special friend.
Gigi and I met at an Irish Pub.
It was the time when I was doing the waitress in three different Pubs to pay my bills at the end of the month, the school, my atelier and the equipment for my passions: painting and photography. Luigi is one of those friends with whom we were talking about life and art all the time. We have participated in some artistic projects and exhibited our works several times together. I’m so lucky to have one friend like him, a creative mind that never stops.
Luigi Boccadamo is a contemporary artist from Ticino (southern Switzerland) and I just wanted to share his passion for painting on plastic and canvas scraps through my lenses. We were chatting in his icy basement one night, it was winter and he was painting about blu skies. I'm always fascinated by the tools that people use to work, they have their own story and I love the way they can tell their story through their stains and abrasion.
